BY TELEGRAPH. LATER FROM EUROPE. ARRIVAL OF THE STEAMSHIP ATLANTIC. New York, Nov. 30. The Steamship Atlantic, with dates from Liverpool to the 17th, has arrived at this port. Liverpool Markets. I he Cotton market this week opened buoyant and clos ed quiet; sales summing up 49,000 bales, including 15,000 taken on speculation and lor export. The quotations are: Fair Orleans 6id. Middling Orleans s*d. Fair Uplands 6id. Middling Uplands s&d! The stock of American Cotton on hand is 209,000 bales, j Hour has advanced fid., Wheat 2d.; Yellow Corn 6d., White Corn has largely advanced, and is scarce, Yellow is quoted at 475. to 475. 6d., White 555. Provisions have advanced. Sugars dull. Money is tigher. Consols quoted at 87r. American I stocks are quiet. Intelligence about the War. The latest despatch from the seat of War reports offi- ) cially from Lord Stratford Redcliffea victory gained on I the sth November,by Omar Pasha over ten thousand Rus- [ sians, mostly Georgian Militia, at the River lngour, which I Omar Pasha, with Turks amounting to 20,000 strong,cross- I ed at four points, taking sixty prisoners and three guns. The I loss in killed and wounded on the Russian side was 400, | and by the Turks 300. A private despatch, evidently re- I lerring to the same encounter, says: The Turks crowed I the river Anakava and stormed the Russian redoubts, Rafter j which they pushed lorward toward Kutais. Kars was still J besieged. Appearances indicate that the Russians will re- I tire to Tifiis. I Nothing from :he Crimea. Only a few ships remain in the Dneiper. The buik of the fleets are returning to Con stantinople. Peace rumors were extremely prevalent, but vague.— Diplomacy was active, especially at Stockholm, Vienna j and Brussels. The Paris exhibition has closed; 12,000 prizes have been j awarded, including numerous decorations of the L( gion of I Honor. The latest rumors were that it is probable there will bo an early dissolution of Parliamtnt. American Convention. Louisville, Nov. 29. The American council here advise that a national con vention he held at Philadelphia the 22nd February, and a primary meeting at the same place on the 18th Feb ruary. From Nicaragua. New York, Nov. 29. The new government of Nicaragua has imposed an ad valorem duty on all foreign imports, to be paid for in coin. COMMERCIAL.
