THIS Medicineis prepared by aregulur Ired Southern Phy
sician who has practiced his profession tor the last eight
een years in the State of Alabama. It will be found upon a
fair trial to bo the most prompt and ejfectuU remedy for all
diseasesof the Chest and Lungs ever discovered, and when
every other remedy fails this is sere ‘to give relief.
The greatest care has been taken in its preparation, being
compounded on the most scientific principles. In its composi
tion is embraced a combination of the most valuable and effec
tive Expectorants , Anodynes and Sedatives which ai e known to
possess the highestreputs vrith all intelligent members ol tha
JUcaical Profession.
No fact can be more self evident than that this preparation
has already acquired high reputation and great popularity
wherever it has been introduced. Assuming no extraordina
ry pretensions, but relying solely upon itsownintrinsic virtues,
this valuable medicine, invented and prepared by an experi
enced* Southern Physician after many years of practical inves
tigation and application, has at length secuted the most un
limited confidence, wherever it has been introduced, as acer
tain remedial agent, in all diseases of the respiratory organs.
If the unsolicited testimony of skillful physicians, profound
lawyers, and eminent divines, together with others of high
character, learning and discrimination, can be any evidence o*’
Us intrih&ic superiority, certainly it ha?a claim upon the gen
erous confidence of an enlightened and discriminating com
munity. A train of diseases so desolating, *o withering, #o
general and fatal in their results, has at length met with a rem
edy that nevsr fail* tocitrh, uulessbv long and criminal
neglect or injudicious tr>atmenttho disease Las completely un
dermined the constitution, and nothing has been left to rear
the fair fabric of health upon, but it* ruined and desolated frag
ments.
A remedy therefore! that enn be relied lupon/friiAT will

the directions are faithfully followed, is priceless, forhealth is
paramount to all oartbiy considerations, and by far the mst

Dicar mr: 1 send you this to certify to you that your Ex
trad of Yellow Dock and .Sarsaparilla has performed one of
the most wonderful cures on me that has ever been effected on
run.
I have been nfllicted for forty years with eruptions on mv
legs and feet; in 1848 they got so bad that 1 ‘rad to go oil
crutches, and in 18491 had one leg amputated above the knee.
In about nine mouths after my other iegjhroke out in larg6
eatmgand running sores fro nr. my knee to my foot, and dia
dialed a great tit-*! of ofteiwiive matter. My aWo broke
outla large biles, which discharged much offensive matter, and
at the same time my lefth&nd broke out inlar're running sores
neatly to my elbow.
The misery that i have suffered for tho last two years I can
not describe to you. i was in such agony that I never rested
day or night.
ia October last iny son brought me one of your bottle wrap
para, l read it, and found record of some wonderful cures
performed by your “Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla”
i sent and got two bottles of it. and commenced ta king it. In
two weeks, to my great astonishment, my sorer all became ea
sy,and I could sleep all night, & thing I had not done fnrtwo
years \Vhen i had taken six bottles, my scree had nearly all
healed. My sores got well as if by enchantment. I have now
i. eM potties Oi your “Extract of Yellow Dock end

I entreat all of the affleited to try'this medicine, for I believe
it will cure any known disease in the world. Lay aside all
