TaLi.ai*oo?a Cos., Ala.,Jan.2, 1852.
Dkar Sir: —1 send you this to certify to you that your Ex
tract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla lias performed one ol
the most wonderful cures on me that Las ever been effected on
tn u.
I have been afflicted for forty years with eruptions on *my
legs and feet; in 1818 they got so bad that 1 tad to go on
crutches, and tn 18-19 I had one leg amputated above the knee.
In about nine months after my other legjbroke out in large
eatingaud running sores from my knee to my foot, and dis
charged a great deal of .offensive matter. My groin tiL:o broke
outin large biles, which discharged muchoffensivematter.and
at tne same time ray left hand broke out in large ruuuiug sores
nearly to my elbow.
The misery that I have suffered for tho last two years 1 can
not describe to jou. 1 was in such agony that I never rested
day or night.
In October last my son brought me one of your bottle wrap
pers; l read it, and found record of some wonderful cures
performed by your “Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla”
l sent and got two bottles of it. and commenced tailing it. In
two weeks, to nay great astonishment, my sores all became ea
sy, and I could sleep all night, a thing I had not done lor two
jears* YVhen l had taken six bottles, my sores had nearly all
healed. My sores got well as if by enchantment. I have now
used in all eight bottles ol your “Extract of Yellow Dock and
Sarsaparilla,” and now consider myself well.
I entreat all of the afiicited to try this medicine, for I believe
it will cure any known disease in the world. Lay aside all
prejudice and just try it, and proclaim fits great worth to
suffering mankind and entreat them to take it, for it will cure
them.
fPMy case is well known in a large portion of South Carolina,
Georgia and Alabama, and if any should doubt the above
cure,l invite them to call on me, and 1 will show them the
scars, i cun be found in Tallapoosa County Alabama, one
mile from Sloe’s Ferry.
RENA.IAH HUGHES.
The Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla is peculiarly adapted for
females of delicate health, resulting from irregularity of men
strual discharges, and otherdieases peculiar to their sex.—
The proprietor has in his possession ©f a great number of cer
tificates of cures, perf< rmed of the above description. YY r e
assure the aflUctcd, that a bottle or two of Dr. Guysotl’s Ex
tract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla will at once regulate
those difficulties and renew* the natural energies.

[Extract of a letter received from Rev. B. C. Thomas.]
Tavoy, November 18, 1853.
Messrs. P. Doris Son— Dear Sirs: * >+ *The Karens
have no more confidence in the charms of their ancestors-
They desire rational remedies for the sick. By various
mesne, principally through the agency of the Rev. D. L.
Bray ton, these Karen people have become acquainted with
your medicine, and their demand for it is to me very sur
prising.
I now have by'me orders for more than fifty bottles, but
l have not got one bottle; 1 therefore wish you to send me
a quantity, and I will pay you through the tieasurer of the
Missionary Union. 1 hope we shall be favored with some
of it as soon ’as possible. There is no medicine which
stands so high in the estimation of the Karens of these pro
vinces as the Pain Killer, and I feel willing to gratify them,
as 1 entertain a very high opinion of its worth.
B. G. THOMAS.
Providence, R. 1., July 7,1851.
Messrs. Perry Davis & Son: Gents—Before 1 left Mer
gui, both Karens and Bermans bad found out the value of
your Pain Killer, and I could readily have disposed of a
large quantity of it among them. It seems particularly
efficacious in cholera morbus, bowel complaints, and oth
er diseases, to which the natives'of Burmah, from their
unYvholesome style of living, are particularly exposed. It
is a valuble antidote to the poison of centipedes, scorpions,
hornets and the like. I have been twice stung by scorpions
and in both cases eased tbe most excruciating pain, and en
tirely prevented the swelling by applying the Pain Killer.
On our voyage homeward from Tndia, the Captain of the
ship was taken with vomiting and purging and other
symptoms of cholera. 1 gave him a good dose of Pain
Killer with the most immediate and happy results. So en
tire and speedy was the relief, that he assured me lie
would never again go a voyage without your excellent
medicine, if he possibly could procure it.
Respectfully yours.
Rev. i. benjamin,
Late Missionary to Burmah.
Calcutta, Nov. 4,1853.
Messrs. Terry Davis Son: Dear Sirs—Confirming
my respects of the 4th ult., (duplicates herewith) I find it
necessary to address you again, as my most sanguine ex
-5 pectionsl ave been more than realized. The call for your
j valuable medicine is increasing so very rapidly that I fear
I shall soon be unable to keep pace with it, as 1 have only
about one hundred bottles of tbe supply per Union on
hand, and hope that long ere this you have despatched
me another package, of which, however, I have not yet
heard irom you. I remain, dear sir,
Yours sincerely,
