PLAIN TALK.
Mr. Herschel! Allen, who has
been very sick of late is now im¬
proving.
Some forms of railroading is not
so pleasant. At least the operation
of a hand car is not.
There seems to have been a con¬
troversy in the minds of some as to
the indentity of the child spoken of
by us in a former article. We
don’t care, the principle holds good.
We spoke it that instance on the
authority of others to establish fact.
People of White have you ever
stopped to think about the re¬
sources of Xour country ? Is there
a better county in the state or union.
Listen, a lady resident of White
county, who has lived in Australia
aud in nine different states of the
union, says that she has lived bet¬
ter and had more in White county
than anywhere she has ever lived.
How is thot for old White.
NOTICE
To the Odd Fellows of the 20th
Division.
The Division Meeting of the
Twentieth Division will be held
at Buford on the 28th of February.
We hope to have a most interest¬
ing program for the day. There
will be some very important bus¬
iness to come before the meeting.
Let all the Lodges in this Division
elect their Representatives and be
reaey for the meeting.
This will be the last Division
meeting before the Grand Lodge
meets.
It will be necessary for this meet¬
ing to recommend a Division De¬
puty Grand Master for the coming
year, therefore let the brethren
come thinking about that as well as
the other work which must be at¬
tended to.

“I Lad rather worship God.”—
Daniel 3.
Nebuchanezzar was a ruler over
Babylon. He made a golden image
and set it up in Babylon. He call¬
ed in the princes, the governors,
the captains, judges, treasurers,
counsellors, sheriffs, and all the
rulers of the provinces, were gath¬
ered together to worship the gold¬
en image. The rule that the king
made was that all should bow
down and worship the image.
Sliadrach, Meshach and Abednego
would not worship the image. At
this Nebuchadnezzar became very
angry and had them thrown in a
firey furnace, but the flames did
not touch them. Their God sent an
angel from heaven and did not let
the flames touch them, and so I be¬
lieve on a true and living God, and
so let us stand up for the right.
