BUCKWHEAT CAKES
2 cups buckwheat flour 2M cups buttermilk
I'x teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon molasses
lx teaspoon soda 1 egg, well beaten
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Combine Sift flour buttermilk, once, measure, add salt and soda, and sift againJ
mixture, mixing molasses, egg, and butter. Add to flour
just until blended. Bake on hot lightly greased
griddle until brown. Turn once. S erve with butter ana' "
