The petition of White County Insurance and
Company shows the following- facts:
I. The principal office of the petitioner is lo¬
cated in Cleveland, White County, Geor¬
gia. Said corporation was incorporated un¬
der the laws of the State of Georgia on
May 29, 1953, for period of thirty-five
years.
II. This petition is brought to amend the
charter of said corporation in the particu¬
lars herein after se. out. This proposed
amendment has been favorably voted on
and consented to by all the stockholders of
said corporation at a special meeting called
for that purpose, as shown by the certifi¬
cate of the Secretary of the corporation
attached hereto as exhibit “A” and made
a part hereof.
Petitioner now desires that its charter
be amended so that maximum number oL
shares of the preferred stock of said cor¬
poration shall be increased from 500 shares
to 750 shares of the face or par value of
$100.00 per share. The holders of the com¬
mon stock shall continue to control the
corporation subject to the by-laws pro¬
viding for the rights of preferred stock¬
holders.
Wherefore, petitioner prays that the charter
said corporation be amended, as above set
upon a due compliance with the law in
cases made and provided.
