1 large potato, diced Alaska King Crab Meat

Add vegetables, water and thyme to hot fat, cover and cook 7 • 8 minutes.
Add frozen crab meat and cook about 10 minutes, or untfl crab is easily
broken up with a fork. Stir in "»«ik and season to taste. Heat through and
serve piping hot Garnish with paprika and crumbled crisp bacon bite.

Melt butter, stir in flour; add seamed milk, sedt and pepper. Stir
and add frozen crab meat. Simmer over low heat until crab thaws and
separatee, etkring frequently. Sprinkle with minced paretey ae served,

Manitoba rum cake, however, Is
to be had in almost any private

make their rum cakes:

wax paper. Cut up dates, and brows chop
walnuts. Cream butter
sugar until well blended; then
add the dates and nuts to this
mixture. Add the baking sods to
boiling water, pour over the
creamed butter, brown sngar end,
dates. Stir until cool. Add 8 egg*
well beaten. Gradually stir in
sifted flour and salt, 'beating until
smooth. Add rum flavoring. Tur#
batter into prepared pan. Bake f'
hour and 15 minutes at S00*P. j.
Cool in pan on wire rack tot
10 minutes. Remove from pan. 4
Frost with rich butter icing;
flavored with 1 teaspoon rum
flavoring and 14 teaspoon mac*
