Sealed proposals will be received by Horace
G. Caldwell, Agent, Jekyll Island-State Park
Authority, Room 351, 7 Hunter Street, S. W.,
Atlanta, Georgia 30334, until 1:00 p.m., East¬
ern Standard Time, April 27, 1965, for the
furnishing of all labor and materials for the
construction of Five Cabins (Rental Cottages)
and a Superintendent’s Residence at Vogel
State Park, Union County, near Blairsville,
Georgia.
The bidding documents will be available for
examination at the office of Kenneth Johnson,
Architect, 110 West Peachtree Place, N. W.,
Atlanta, Georgia 30313, at Atlanta Builders’
Exchange and F. W. Dodge Corporation. A set
of drawings and contract documents may be
obtained from the office of the Architect, upon
deposit of Fifty Dollars which will be refunded
to General Contractors whe submit bids and
return the documents in good condition within
ten days after the bid date.
Bidding documents will not be issued later
than twenty-four hours prior to the time for
receiving proposals. No bid or modification of
bid by telephone or telegraph will be accepted.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond
in the form of A.I.A. Document No. A-310,
Sept. 1963 Ed., and in an amount not les^
than (3) percent of the bid price. The success
ful bidder will be required to execute a per
forma nee bond anti a labor nn.l material pay¬
ment bond in the form of A.l.A. Document
No. A-311, Sept. 1963 Ed., in amounts not less
than one hundred percent of the original con¬
tract sum.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any
or all proposals and to waive informalities. No
bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty
live days after the time for receiving bids.
