Ga. It will be in quarto form of eight

style similar to, and in size somewhat larg
er than, the New Yarn Ledger It will be
published on good hook paper, and will be
:in mechanioal execution in the est style
es the typographical art. In utility, it
j will be all that the best agricultural sci
j ence and practical knowledge of the South
j can furnish. A weekly visitor to the homes :

be more useiul and acceptable to them
than any monthly journal of equal merit.

spirit of enterprise on mi part, and a lau

1 content to look to Northern periodicals for
instruction in agricultural matters, and
to North.ru literary papers for mental re
creation. There is, however, a growing
sp rit of independence and of self reliance

scientific investigation, of the dwellers in
our owu southern homes. The truth is

northward to sustain Northern literature
