Oratorical Contest
The Millen Optimist Club cor
dially invites the public to their
annual Oratorical Contest. The
contest will be held 4 p.m. Sun
day, March 22, at Morrison Grove
Baptist Church on Old Louisville
Road.
This year’s theme is “For Me,
Optimism is.. .’’Students under the
age of 16 as of Dec. 31,2008 are
eligible to participate. Prizes will
be awarded.
Relay for Life Teams
Needed
The American Cancer Society
announces that Relay for Life
teams are needed for the biggest
block party of the year, to be held
Friday, May 15, and Saturday,
May 16, at the Jenkins County
Recreation Department.
Each team consists of at least
10 members. Teams raise funds
to fight cancer. Each team is asked
to have a representative on the
track at all times during the event.
Relay for Life is about commu
nity spirit, being part of a team
and fighting cancer. There is a
place for everyone.

Pancake Supper
The Lions Club’s annual Pan
cake Supper will be held 5:30
p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Monday,
Feb.23, at the Millen Community
House. Tickets are $5 each, and
can be obtained from any of the
Lions Club members or pur
chased at the door.
’39ers to meet
The ’39ers will meet Monday,
Feb. 16, at the Millen Commu
nity House. A covered dish lun
cheon will be served at noon. A
program is planned and visitors
are welcome.

due because of, among other possible
events of default, failure to pay the in
debtedness as and when due and in the
manner provided in the Note and Se
curity Deed. The debt remaining in de
fault, this sale will be made for the pur
pose of paying the same and all ex
penses of this sale, as provided in Se
curity Deed and by law, including attor
neys fees (notice of intent to collect at

any outstanding ad valorem taxes
(including taxes which are a lien, but not
yet due and payable), any matters
