In Memoriam
In Loving Memory of
Our Dear Son
Jason L. Williams
Oct. 7,1968 - March 27,1988
It’s been 21 years since you left us,
To go to your heavenly home -
In one aspect, it seems like an eternity and in
Another, it seems like it was only yesterday.
There’s such a void in our hearts,
That not even time has healed.
We know God lent to us a beloved son
For 19 wonderful years.
We truly thank Him for the short time
We had you here on this earth.
You were a freshly blossomed flower,
Full of gentleness and peace.
Your smiles and humor warmed our lives like sunshine.
Your Christ-like love never ceased.
We will reminisce and talk of your life so fdled with fun.
We are so saddened because your life here had just begun.
We know that the heavenly choir has your voice so sweet
And that you are so happy as you sit at our Father’s feet.
Yes, we miss you so much, Jason,
And sometimes we feel so alone.
Yet, we’re thankful to know you’re safe now,
In your heavenly home.
Sadly missed by,
Mother, Father, Family and Friends
welcomes everyone on

God Is In Control
One of my colleagues at work has a picture on her desk of two sparrows talk
ing to each other, and one sparrow is asking the other “Why do people always
seem to be rushing around and fretting about everything?” The other sparrow
responds “I don’t know, but perhaps they don’t have a God who watches over
them as our God watches over us.” How ironic that we should need to be
reminded of God’s watchful, loving eyes by little birds. Sometimes it is as if we
are literally carrying the weight of the whole world on our own narrow shoul
ders. And, no one’s shoulders are broad enough for that. God’s expectations
for us are modest. He wants us to love and care for our fellow human beings
as best we can; but, He isn’t expecting us individually to be responsible for
the entire planet. So, we should relax. God is in control, and therefore even
when it may not appear as if all things are going according to some cosmic,
divine plan, we must know that they are unfolding exactly as they should. As
the Zen master says, “The snowflake never falls in the wrong place.”
Are not two sparrows sold (or a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your
Father's will. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of
more value than many sparrows. R.S.V. Matthew 10:29-31
