The Millen News, Wednesday, June 24, 2009 — Page 3 Miss Anderson to marry Mr. Lanier June 27 Mr. and Mrs. Gregory S. Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Lannie L. Lanier, all of Portal, announce the engagement of their chil dren. Jamie Speer Anderson and Joshua Lovett Lanier. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Anderson Jr. of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. James M. Lowe of Brooklet. Jamie is a 2004 graduate of Bulloch Academy. She is currently pursuing a bachelor of science degree in Early Child hood Education at Valdosta State University. The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. I.W. Spence of Portal and the late Mr. and Mrs. Denver Lanier of Portal and Mrs. Cleo Hodges-Lanier of Statesboro. Josh is a 2002 graduate of Portal High School. After earning associate degrees in Ag Business and Ag Economics, he graduated in May from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with a bachelor of science degree in Diversified Agriculture. Jamie and Josh will marry 5 p.m. Saturday. June 27, at First Baptist Church of Statesboro. The reception will be held in the Perry Fellowship Hall. No local invitations will be sent. S.C. and the granddaughter of Goldie Little and the late Marion Ham, both of Port Wentworth, the late Gloria Lutes of Millen and the late Bobby King of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. She is a 1996 graduate of Jenkins County High School and is currently employed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Rite Aid Pharmacy in Millen. The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Wayne Foun tain of Pembroke and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Foun tain of Pembroke and Mr. Willie Hodges and the late Christine O. Hodges, both of Hinesville. He is a 2000 graduate of Byran County High School. He is currently employed at R.B. Baker, Inc. The couple will enjoy a honeymoon cruise in September.
