Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Mitchel Taffet Wiggins, Taffet exchange vows Gene and Bonnie Wiggins of Millen announce the marriage of their daughter, Genie, to Jefferson Mitchel Taffet of Ath ens. The private ceremony was held 7 p.m. Saturday. July 25, at Cannon Beach, Oregon. Genie is the granddaughter of Katie Edenfield Lewis and the late Thomas Cecil Lewis and the late Mr. and Mrs. H.G. Wiggins Sr., all of Millen. Jefferson is the son of Bob and Linda Taffet of Montgom ery, Ala. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Segall of Montgomery and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mitchel Taffet Geni graduated from Jenkins County High School and the University of Georgia. She is currently the artistic/education director at Athens Rock The- atre/Goarts. She is also em ployed as a dance teacher at Oconee Youth School of Per formance. Jefferson graduated from Jefferson Davis High School of Montgomery and the Univer sity of Georgia. He and Genie co-own the Company Careaway Cakes. Com of which he is the manager. The couple will make their home in Athens. Miss Scott to marry Maebel McCloud and Johnny Richardson of Millen announce the engagement and upcoming mar riage of their daughter. Valencia LaToya Scott, of Statesboro, to Warren Levi Jacobs Jr. of Statesboro, son of Hattie Green of Woodbine and Warren L. Jacobs Sr. of Kingsland. The wedding will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Snella’s Place ballroom in Statesboro. The bride-elect is the grand daughter of the late Amos and Louise McCloud of Millen and the late Nellie B. Richardson and Clear ance Thomas, both of Waynesboro.
