“The Ole Man”
To a man we will never forget.
Dad, you may not be here with us,
But we carry you very close in our hearts.
Happy birthday. Dad.
Love,
Antonio, Jill, Jackie, Artisha, Tina and grandkids
In loving memory of
Lannie Royal
June 22, 2003 - Aug. 11, 1994
Our dad was a man whose life was spent working hard,
Seeing to his family’s needs.
As the days and years unfold.
We have precious memories of what a special dad he was.
When he taught us how to do things.
He would make a worthwhile point,
Starting out with a riddle or joke.
He watched as we tried to figure things out.
When all was finished,
He would give us a smile reassuring his love for us.
Forever missed,
Your Children
Cards of Thanks
Thank You
Perhaps you sent a lovely card.
Or sat quietly in a chair,
Perhaps you sent beautiful flowers,
If so, we saw them there.
Perhaps you sent or spoke kind words
As any friend could say;
Perhaps you were not there at all
Just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console the heart.
We thank you so much, whatever the part.
The family of
Richard Wayne Wallace Sr.
Thank you
The family of Helen Mixon would like to extend a special
“thank you” to all who sent food and cards, made phone calls
and for the many other acts of kindness shown during our diffi
cult time.
We especially want to thank Dr. Kyle Gay and all the Jenkins
County Hospital staff for all their love and compassion shown to
Helen during her long illness.

Family Values
We often hear politicians and preachers speak about “family values.” But, what is actually
meant by this phrase is as varied as the people who preach about it. For some, it means
having a wholesome sexual morality and reserving these activities for the confines of mar
riage. For others, it means taking care of our families by having a minimum wage that lifts
+ families out of poverty and having some form of national health insurance to ensure
that all children receive the medical care that they need. We will never get everyone to
agree on exactly what is covered by the term “family values,” and perhaps part of this
has to do with the fact that we can’t even agree on what a family is. Some people
think of a family as a mother and father raising their children, while others argue that
we surely have to also include the single mother raising her children, as a family as
well. And of course, there are blended families and extended families, and the family
as a basic social unit in today’s world is really in flux. For better or worse it adapts to
social change. Furthermore, when thinking about family today, it may be best to take a
broader view, since more and more people live alone. Our extended family is the whole human race, and when we
think about these sorts of issues, we really ought to be thinking about our human family. But for some, even that
view may be too narrow. For all living things on this planet are related, because God, as their creator is the Father
of them all
There is one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all. R.S.V. Ephesians 4:6
