Christmas and Easter were immediately mentioned. When asked if there were any others, I stated Thanksgiving. Although the teacher politely told me that Thanksgiving was not a Christian holiday, it is a day that is set aside each year to thank God for all His many blessings. When we have received something from someone else it is only common courtesy to thank them. Likewise, thanking God for His many blessings should be a regular part of our daily prayer life. In the Bible, when Jesus cured the ten lepers, only one came back to thank Him. Perhaps, the nine who did not return to thank Jesus are a reflec tion of how often we fail to recognize God's many blessings in our lives. The important thing to know is that we can never Thank God enough. ^ O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His steadfast love endures forever! R.S.V.
