When people suffer serious loss or misfortune, their families and friends instinctively rally around them to offer their support. Likewise, when com munities, or even nations, suffer from natural disasters or other serious misfor tunes, the rest of the nation or the community of nations rallies around them to offer help and support. Or at least, this is the ideal that we should all hope and strive for. The need for putting human compassion into action is never more evident than when people are suffering. And unfortunately, the world is rife with suffering, if only we have the eyes to see it, and the hands to reach out and help. So, we should be attuned to the needs and suffering of our families, and realize that our family actually extends well beyond our immediate nuclear family to include all of humanity. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins. ” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. New K.J.
