when Adams sought treatment
in the Emergency Department
for superficial wounds.”

A positive DNA match has solved the
six year old murder investigation of
Kenith Scott. On Wednesday, Novem
ber 17, 2021, the GBI with assistance
from the Millen Police Department
arrested Teresa Kim Mobley, 53,
of Millen and charged her with the
murder of Kenith Scott, 52, who was
found stabbed to death in his apart
ment on June 2, 2015.
The Millen News reported the death
of Scott on June 10, 2015. His body
was discovered at his home on the
600 block of Old Waynesboro Road.
At that time, the MPD and GBI asked
for the public’s help in identifying the
killer.
Evidence, including DNA was suc
cessfully processed by the GBI crime
lab and entered into the Combined
DNA Index System (CODIS). Mo
bley’s DNA profile was recently
entered into the CODIS system for
a probation sentence. A match was
made and Mobley was subsequently
arrested. The relationship between
Mobley and Scott is still under inves
tigation. “This arrest would not have
been possible without the teamwork
of the Millen Police Department and
the GBI,” explains Millen Police
Chief Dwayne Herrington.
This is still an active case and anyone
with information is urged to contact
the GBI at 912-871-1121 or the Mil
len Police Department at 478-982-
2750.
