The Millen Garden Council
held a Trivia Night Thursday,
April 27, to raise funds for the
council’s next flower show,
which will be held in March
2024.
The council is made up of
members of the Millen Garden
and the Green Thumb garden
clubs. Vondesa Lee and Mela
nie Clark were chairmen of the
trivia event.
After about two hours of
trivia, winners were announced
and prizes awarded.
Eagle Pharmacy came in first
and received $200.
Two of the 14 teams tied for
second place.
The tie-breaker question
was, “How many words are in
the King James version of the
Bible?”
The answer is 783,137.
Smart Sasses answered
500,000; and, Red Hot Trivia
Peppers guessed 2.5 million.
Smart Sasses came in second
and received $100. Red Hot
Trivia Pepper came in third and
received $50.
Cost to enter was $50 a table.
There were 14 teams. Tickets
for door prize drawings were
$1 each.
“I think it went well,” said
Veronica Cowart, a garden
council member. “It was posi
tive and enjoyable with lots
of laughter. People seemed to
have a good time.”
The council has a flower
show every other year. There
may be other fundraisers for
the show, which the council
will announce when the events
are scheduled.
