MsELREE'S WINE OF CARDUI for Weak Nerves,
From the Jackson Herald it will
be seen that J. L. Ritch was the
thief who went into the Herald's

Ritrh is well known her#. His
law-card has appeared in this pa

and he promised to pay for it in a
week or so after its insertion. He
never done it. The Journal will
call it even and take his curd out.
Mr. Rif ?h is rather good looking
—being of an ludian hue and a
piercing black ere—of medium
height.
It will be remembered how ha

would have went to jail, hud not

three letters setting forth promises
that $25 would be given by the as.o

uable gifts, if be and his bride would
go down on the proper day anal be
married in cotton bagging- Miss Par
tain, being naturally modest, did not
consent till alter much persnasiou, but
finally agreed and got ready. It seems
that in the mean time oilier parties,
from the lower portion of the county,
being esp< cially anxious to secure tho
advantages of the offer, went to Ath
ens and p esented themselves and were
accented. The latter parties were bet
tar off in this world’s goods and more
influential, and it seems on that ac
count, for there oouid be bo other rea
son, they went back on Mr. Daniels
aud his bride. Mr. Daniels and his
bride are poor people, but they are
highly reapectable and they all belong
to the alliance, wbilo the others do not.
There is no little kicking among eoaic
of cur people at the unfair treatmsnt
of Mr. Daniels by ths Athens Fair as
sociation and we doubt not they' have
lost friends by k. , ’
