Miss Gertrude Settle who has been very sick for the past week, we are glad to say much better. Mrs j M Terry and Mrs J H Moulder spent last Tuesday with Mrs V A Terry. Mr Carl Gtlstrap, Misses Myrtie Williams and Mace Gilstrap spent Saturday night and Sunday at Mr G T Settles. Miss Lula Hall spent last Mon day uight at Mr Joe Finchers. Mr Fred Settle spent Saturday in Atlanta* Mr Roy Buice spent Saturday and Sunday with home folks. Dr and Mrs J F Covington, of Atlanta spent last Friday night at Mr D H Bagleys, Mrs Clarence Settle and little daughters spent last Friday at Mr G T Settles. Misses Edith and Era Black stock spent Saturday and Sunday with Miss Mamie Collins. Mr Anderson Bell died at his home near Sheltonville last Wed nesday, and was buried Thursday at Mt Zion. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of their many friends. Missouri. COAL MOUNTAIN Mr and Mrs J F McCarmaak spent Sunday with Mr and Mrs E J Willard. Mr* W T Smith spent Thursday evening with Mrs H C Heard. Mr Gus Heard was the guest of his cousins Jim and Foster Woffard Saturday night and Sunday last, Messrs H C Heard and Carl Har den made a business trip to Gain esville one day last week. Miss Pearl Gober who is teach ing school at Coal Mountain spent Saturday night and Sunday with home folks, Several drom around here at tended the iinging at Spot Sun day. Miss Mardelle Merritt spent part of last week with her sister Mrs Cled Vaughan. Mrs J H Pruitt spent one day last week with her parents Mi and Mrs A J Vaughan. Rev J M Anderson visited Mr L D Cain Sunday. Miss Callie Fowler, of near Bu foru. is visiting her grand-parents Mr and Mrs W C Fowler this week. We are sorry to say that Mrs S B Wright improves slowly. Mrs T B Fowler spent one day last week with her mother Mrs W White. There is Sunday school at Haw Creek every Sunday evening at 2 o’clock, why don’t more of the old er people come out aud help with the Sunday school. Mrs Eddie Vaughan visited Mrs Raleigh Lockamy Saturday after noon. Mr Reece Barrett was on the sick list part of last week. Annie Lauria. SPOT News is scarce. We are sorry to learn of the death of Mr Fangie Clayton which occured at his home about 8 o’clock Saturday night last. We are sorry to learn that Mr W E Holland has two children very sick at this writing, we hope for their recovery soon. Farming is going on in this sec tion with a rush, wheat and oats are looking fine. Mr Charley Hardin and wife, of Cumming, attended the singing at Spot Sunday. Messrs Linton Heard, of Mat, and Rufus Bannister and several others attended the siuging at Spot Sunday. M T Wallace who has been on the sick list for several days, we are glad to learn is better. Guano is being hauled in this section with a rush. Miss Fay Brown wifi close her school at this place next Friday, she has taught us a good school and all seem to be well pleased with her. Mrs J M Satterfield is very low with pneumonia, we are sorry to say. Mi Ceph Castleberry, of Dallas Ga, is spending a few days with his parents Mr and Mrs J H Cas tleberry. Mr Early Bennett and sister Estell visited Mr Howard Thomp son and sister Clara Saturday night and Sunday. Mr and Mrs Ernest Terry spent Sunday with Mr Belve Guthrie and family. School will close at Piney Grove Saturday with an egg hunt and debate. Mr Tom Hall and family were the guests of Mr Joe Hall Satur day night and Sunday. Messrs Rogen Martin and Bill Bennett were the guests of Mr Ernest Terry Saturday night. Among the visitors at Mrs R E Guthrie Sunday, were Mr and Mrs Claude Brooks Mrs Hassie Vaughn and daughter Ada. Miss Ethel Pirkle and brother Vergil, of Cumming, are spending sometime at home. Misses Annie Bannister and Mary Phillips visited Miss Addie Moore Sunday. Mr Charlie Childers visited Mr L W Hood some time ago, What’s the attraction brother Mr and Mrs O S Bailey report a new girl at their home. The maich-spelling at Silver City one night last week was en joyed by all present. Miss Velvie Blanton who is at tending school at here, visited home folks the last of the week, Mr and Mrs E E Bannißter visi ted the latters mother Mis Pirkle Saturday and Sunday. Mr John Ezzard we are glad to say is improving. Mr Sim Martin was buried at Midway Monday last. Mr Virgil Hendrix, of Atlanta, spent a few days with home folks last week on route 7. The farmers are making good use of this pretty weather, Mrs J T Hunter is in Atlanta, where she was called to the bed side of her sick father.
