The Elgin Watch
ta ""
fe#
Fifty five years ago, in a three story wooden build
ing, the National Watch Cos. began manufacture at
Elgin, 111. [lts capital then was only SIOO,OOO, and
its working force numbered seven men. From this
modest beginning the company has-grown to over
4,000 skilled operatives. The present factory of the
Elgin National Watch Cos. covers about fourteen
acres of floor space, and a trip through all its de
partments is a two mile walk.
I nave these watches in stock at all times, in gold
and nickel cases, 12s. and i6s.; also in green gokl
cases. School will soon begin and one of these
watches would be just the thing for the boy to car
ry off to school. Come in and see them,
