\ very nice rain fell here Fri

needed.
The June singing has come and
gone, and we can't tell any dif
ference, but there is no doubt
many can tell it, and will for sev
eral days.
In connection with the boll
weevil and bean beetle there is
some pest working in the com
and cane, also something on to
mato plants, This may get to
become a troublesome old world
yet.
Crops are looking as well as
could reasonably be expected,
taking everything into consider
ation,
I believe the rest of the corres
pondents will have to "hand it
over" to Uncle Happy that he is
the best on the North Georgian
staff.

It is thought that as a result
of the meddling with the tomb
of king Tut, by curiosity seek
ers, the ancient plagues and dis
eases have been resurrected in
the old world, as some are suffer
ing and dying with mysterious
diseases. Now watch: If the
situation becomes acute over
there, this cojntry will send
some experts to “study condi
tions’’ and incidently pocket a
few millions, who will bring the
disease back home and cause a
lot of trouble and suffering, just
as was done by the Spanish in
fluenza while we were making
the world “safe for democracy.”
The standing candidate for
president, William Jennings
Bryan, is conducting a somewhat
interesting Bible talk in one of
the Atlanta papers, and perhaps
others, but those who read his
record, politically and otherwise,
laid bare by Senator Thomas E,
Watson, shortly before his death,
can have but little faith in his
sincerity.
Some are boosting Henry Ford
for president, and ahould he be
elected they would probably be
wanting to “bust” him with a
paddle before his time was half
Berved.
Well, I’m gone; good bye!
