j Gayler who lives in Seminole dis
\ trict, while moving some corn and
fodder, killed 535 rats which, out
of curiosity, were weighed, and
found to tip the beam at 62 pounds.

They ought to read and follow the
I advice given by Historian Weems:
I “Marry, boys, marry. If you want
to live long, marry; if you want to
■ get rich, marry. Marry young if
I you can, and if you can’t, marry ■
old; but be sure to marry.” This
was the advice given by the man ,
who wrote of Washington’s little
hatchet, and it is certainly on that
account if no other entitled to con
sideration.
