is naturally attracting f ir more
favorable attention here in Geor

district. The press notices and
in a much larger measure the
comments of intelligent and ob
servant people who have read it,
indicate that Mr. Let' struck a
popular chord, and on a very live
and popular subject, when in his
maiden effo t lie launched boldly
out on a s,abject of vital and com
mantling interest anil importance
not only to his own district but
to the whole country. There is
no question buttbat Mr. Lee has
blazed out a road of vast, useful
ness to the country in advocating
national iiid anil co-operation in
road building. Gedar to w n

I
Lee for Congress
We regret exceedinglythe fact
that we have had a race on in the
Seventh Congressional District
for Congressman for practically
the past twelve months, and we
regret the bitter controversy
that, has grown out of this fight
between Judge' A. W. Kite and
Hon. Gordon Lee and the friends
of these two candidates. We
know each of these parties, and •
we know them to be men of char-■
acter and ability. Personally we
are very fond of each of them.
I rider those circumstances it is
not a pleasant task to decide be
tween them as to whom we shall
sypport. If Judge Lite had made
the race against Hon. Gordon Lee
two years ago instead of this
time, we probably would have
,upj ■. i d J udp Eite, but as M r
l, n< mited two years
■ jg., ii' ■' • l hold the office
for a <. Pr. ; and was opposed
, .1 1 • before lie took his
seal : »r tin first time, we feel that
Judge Fite has made a serious
mistake in opposing him now,
ami we believe that it is only fair
and right that Mr. Lee should be
indosed by the people of this Con
gressional Distfictand nominated
for another term. He is a man
of high character and is an ac
ceptable and worthy representa
tive. It is only fair and just to
him that he be nominated in the
comingprimary, May 3rd. Cobb

Rheumatism Makes LifeMfserable
A happy home is the most valuable
possession that is within the reach of
mankind, but you cannot enjoy its
comforts if you are suffering from
rheumatism. You throw aside busi
ness cares wlien you enter your home
and you can be relieved from those
rheumatic pains also by applying
Chamberlain’s Pain Balm. One ap
plication will give you relief and its
continued use for a short time will
bring about a permanent cure. For

ECHOLS BEAVERS
At the home of the bride’s
mother, Mrs. R. A. Echols, near
Perennial, Miss Daisy Echols was
happily married to Mr. W. K.
Beavers on the 15th inst. at 4 p.
m. in the presence of a few rela
tives anil friends, Rev. J. G. Hunt
officiating. Miss Echols is one of
Chattooga’s most worthy young
ladies, while Mr. Beavers is a
prosperous young farmer.
Go out to the primary on May
.3 and vote for Hon. Gordon Lee.
Mr. Ijee will not be able to leave
congress, therefore will not get
to see the voters in person. He
has planned many good things
for his constituents and it is
nothing but just and right to re
elect him and give him time to
carry out these ideas.
