Nervous
Worn-Out
If you are in this condition,
< your nerve force is weak —the
■* power is giving out, the or
gans of your body have
“slowed up,” and do their work
imperfectly. This failure to
do the work required, clogs
the system and brings distress
and disease. Whemthe nerves
are weak the heart is unable
to force the life-giving blood
through your veins; the stom
ach fails to digest food; the
kidneys lack power to filter
impurities from the blood, and
the poisonous waste remains in
the system to breed disease.
Nerve energy must be restored.
Dr. Miles’ Nervine will do it,
because it strengthens the
nerves; it is a nerve medicine
and tonic, that rebuilds the
entire nervous system.
“Several years ago I was all broken
down. I was nervous, worn-out, could
not sleep, and was in constant pain.
I doctored for months, and finally the
doctor sa.id he" could do nothing for
me. I began taking Dr. Miles’
Nervine, and used altogethup eight
bottles, and I became strong and
healthy, and now weigh 170 pounds.”

Dear Editor: If you will allow
' me space I will write a few lines
1 from this place.
I like the Territory very well.
'ltis a good country here for
farming. The land is better
here than it is in Georgia, but
everything is higher here except
I corn and flour. Flour is sell
ing $2.10 per hundred, corn at 40
cents per bushel. The farmers
are all done planting corn, but
owing to the cold weather some
had to plant over.
We are planting cotton now;
we began the 10th. Fertilizer is
an unknown commodity here. I
have seen great piles of manure
where it had been hauled out
from the livery stables and piled
on the creek banks to wash away.
Society is not as good here as it
is in the old State. Churches
are scarce here and schools are
not very good. There seems as
good people here as I ever saw
any where, and there are Some
that don’t have any regard for
Sunday. Some use Sunday for
there day of sport, such as hunt
ing and fishing.
I will close for fear of the
waste basket. Success to the
News and its many readers.

The people of the Seventh be
ieye in the doctrine of fair play,
and resent most strongly four
things on the part of Mr. Lee’s
opponent in his race for re-elec
tion: Ist, that Fite commenced
an active campaign against him
before he had even taken his
seat; 2nd that he is inconsistent
ly attempting to bernirch his re
cord, although he supported him
two year ago; 3d, that he is hold
ing on to one fat job while reach
ing out for another, and is thus
lowering the dignity of the bench;
and 4th, the fact that his vinifica
tion and abusive methods are an
insult to the intelligence of the
district.
As we say, the people believe
in fair play, and they are going
to turn out in overwhelming
numbers on May 3d to endorse
the course of Mr. Lee and rebuke
that of the political Czar who is

THE SUMMERVILLE NEWS, THURSDAY, APRIL
Making Fine Record.
Hon. Gordon Lee is making
one of the best records ever
made by a congressman during
his first term.! He did not do as
some members, use his first term
in getting acquainted with the
other members, but he went
there and went to work, and in
spite of Judge A. W. Fite to so
divert his mind from his duties
that he would fail to make a
i - ' ord, he has introduced more
bd made speeches and accom
pli-ned more for bis constituents
than any young member has done
from any section of the country.
Those that are willing to do
Gordon Lee the justice to exam
ine into his record will find that
the above statement is true.
' This long winded abuse and
unfair canvassing of Judge Fite
while Mr. Lee is away attending
to his duties will, we believe,
meet its just rebuke at the polls
on the 3rd day of May.
If yon think Gordon Lee ought
to have a second term go out to
the primary and show your loyal
ty to your country’s cause by
casting your ballot for him. —

Congress man Lee has done more
for the farmers and gardeners
in his district than any other rep
resentative in Congress. While
each congressman is only entitled
to 12,(100 packages of garden
seed and 500 packages of flower
seed, Mr. Lee has sentout 32,000
packages of farm seeds and near
ly 1,000 packages of flower seeds.
He was enabled to do this by
making clever ■'swaps'’of matter
for free distribution. The gov
ernment allotted to M r. Lee a big
lot of books on “Sugar Beet Cul
ture,” which M r. I ,ee knew would
be of no benefit to the people in
