nied by Mrs. Anna Lee Bolling
and daughter, Naomi, who will
spend several weeks in that city.

Mr. and Mrs. E. Montgomery
left Monday for an extended
visit to Oklahoma. They will vis
it Westville, Bliss and other
places of interest, and will prob
ably return in about two weeks.
They were accompanied by Mrs.
G. 0. Alexander, who goes to
join her husband at Westville,
where they will make their
future home. Mr. Alexander has
recently sold his interest in the
Henderson-Alexander Drug Co.,
at Rossville and will engage in
the mercantile business in Okla

The petition of J. F. Bnsbin, J. T.
Weaver and J. F. Hudgins, of said
county, their associates anil assigns,
respectfully shows:
Ist
That they desire for themselves and
their associates and successors, to be
incorporated and made a body politic
under the name and style of “The Ly
erly Union Gin Company’’ for a peri
od of twenty years.
2nd •
The principal office of said company
shall be in tho town of Lyerly in said
Chattooga county, and state afore
said ; but petitioners desire the right
to establish branch offices within this
state or elsewhere, whenever the ma
jority of the stockholders so determine.
3rd
The object of said corporation is
pecuniary gain for itself and its stock
holders.
4th
The. business to be carr'ed on by said
corporation is to buy real estate and
warehouses, repair and build ware
houses, to make, own handle and mar
ket cotton, cotton seed, cotton seed
oil, and, in fact, all cotton products.
To engage m the business of ware
housemen, and accept, for storage any
farm products; to issue negotiable or
non-negotiable warehouse receipts
against property so stored; to provide
for securing and guaranteeing such
receipts; to buy, sell, receive and sell
on commission, or consignment, any
and all farm products, farm machine
ry, farmers' supplies, household and
kitchen goods, clothing, articles of
apparal and dress articles for improve
ments of farm property and farmers’
houses; also livestock, cattle, hogs,
etc.; also to receive all such goods and
property as warehousemen, and to is
sue receipts therefor as above stated.
To buy, own, and sell stock in other
warehouses and similar corporations.
Also to own and operate cotton gins,
to gin cotton and to charge therefor,
and to carry on a general ginning
business,

The capital stock of said company
shall be Ten thousand dollars, by a
majority vote of the Directors. Said
! shares of stock to be Five Dollars each
I Ten per cent of the capital stock, to
be employed by them, has been actual
ly paid in.
Petitioners desire the right to have
the subscription to said capital stock
paid in money or property to be taken
at a fair valuation.
No one shall be a stockholder who
is not a member of the Farmers’
Educational and Co-operative Union
of America. A stockholder shall not
own more than Four Hundred shares
and al! have but one vote.
Should anyone not a member of the
farmers’ Educational and Go-opera
tive Union of America come in pos
session of any of the stock of this cor
poration by an innocent purchase,
then, the company reserves
tho rigid to cancel said stock on its
books, and pay par value therefor
within ninety days after its board are
aware of said outside ownership,
In case of the aeath of a stockhol
der, then, his executor or administra
tor shall first offer for sale said stock
to the board of directois of tills cor
poration.
Wherefore, petitioners pray to bo in

aforesaid with the powers, privileges
