Summerville, Georgia.
Comparison
The Dry Goods market up to 30 days ago
was in fine condition to buy goods. Goods
were offered, both by the mills and jobbers,
at prices in many instances for less than
they could be manufactured. Within the
last 30 days a great many goods have ad
vanced and any merchant who buys from
now on will have to pay the advance.
All of our goods were contracted for in
April and May when the prices were
the lowest for this season. We have
always considered it good business
whenever we bought at a low price to
let it go the same way. Cotton goods,
which all are interested in will be based
on about 8t > ioc cotton, which means
one or two things, goods must go up or
cotton must comedown. For ourselves
we do not want to see cheap cotton.
Some of our fall goods are coming in
and within the next lo days the store
will be full of the newest things. The fol
lowing goods are in and you will have big
stock to select from. We will give you this
season pricesand last season so you will see
what the difference is

As you will see from these prices there is a
difference of from 10 to 25 per cent in favor
of this season. This difference you will
find in most of our goods. As our prices
are cash prices, credit stores do not and
cannot afford to sell them that way.--
