D. Jones and daugh ter, Miss Hattie Bale, spent Mon day in Chattanooga. Mrs. Alive Hawkins of Rome was the guest of her sister, Mrs. J. R. Clemmons, Sunday. Mrs. Williams of Rome spent several days lasi week with her aunt, Mrs. J. S. MeGinnis. (Mrs. M. A. McLeod of Lyerly is visiting her son, Robt. McLeod, in South Summerville. Mrs. M. G. Mattox and daugh ter, Mrs. N. iS. Rich, visited friends in Chattanooga Thursday. Mrs. B. F. Hunt came up from Rome Friday on account of the illness of her little son. Paul, who is now improving. The Misses Fricks of Chattanoo ga visited the family of Mr. an<> Mrs. Hussar, Sunday at their homy two miles west of town. Dr. O. A. Selman has bought of Dr. R. Y. Rudicil the property cn which his dental office is lo cated, for SBOO. The many friends here of Miss Nell Thurman regret to hear that she continues very ill at her honu in Trenton. Rev. J. C. Hardin will preach at Bethel Presbyterian church next Sunday morning at eleven o’clock and at Silver Hill in the afternoon. He will also preach at Bethel on the Fifth Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Lee came down from Chattanooga Sunday morning. Mr. Lee returned Mon day, leaving Mrs. Lee to spend a few days with relatives and friends. “Try Merritt’s Tomatoes.
