Wesley Shropshire was in Trion Tuesday on business. Col. J. T. Jolly and Mr. J. S. Cleghorn spent Friday in Rome. Mr. and Mrs. 11. C. Gilbert of near Lyerly were among the vis itors in town Saturday. Mrs. R. L. Evans came down from Chattanooga Monday on a visit to friends. Kate, the little, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 0. J. Espy, has been quite sick for several days. Mr. J. 11. Latimer, traveling passenger agent Nashville, Chat tanooga & St. Louis Ry., was in Summerville Thursday. J. R. Jackson left Monday for Thomasville to attend the grand lodge of Odd Fellows which con vened in that city Tuesday. Dr. and Mrs. W. M. Blackwell of Valley Store, were among the visitors in town Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Wade were the guests of friends at Lyerly Sunday. ±ne last legislature changed the fishing law, and it is now un lawful to seine before the 15th of July. Mr. W. M.
