Women Who are Envied.
Those attractive women who are
lovely in face, form and tersper are
the envy of many who might be like
them. A weak, sickly woman will
be nervous and irritable. Constipa
tion or Kidney poisons show in pim
ples blotches, skin eruptions and a
wretched complexion. For all such,
Electric Bitters work wonders. They
regulate Stomach, Liver and Kidneys
purify the blood; give strong nerves,
bright eyes, pure breath, smooth, vel
vety skin, lovely complexion. Many
charming women owe their health
and beauty to them. 50c at Summer

A Hundred Want This Job
Atlanta, Ga.—The post of
keeper of ]*ublic buildings and
grounds which 1 pays $1,500 a
year, appears to be the most pop
ular minor office about the cap
ital building. It is one, at any
rate, which is going to give
Governor-elect Joseph) M. Brown
more trouble, perhaps, than al)
others.
Alreadly Governor Brown has
upwards of 100 applications for
this position, and they are pour
ing in from all sections of Geor
gia by almost every mail. It is
a sale prediction that this ap
pointment will be about one of
the last the new governor will
make. He will want time to
think over it well, for there
mu-t perforce be something like
ninety-nine or more disappoint
ed men out of the lot.
The keeper of public buildings
and grounds has charge of the
state capital building, the execu
-1 tive mansion, and, in away, of
other public buildings in the state
though his primdpal duties: are
in connection only witlii the two
' buildings named. He employes
ad the help, looks after the fur
nishings of all capital officesand
has charge of the expenditure of
, a fend amounting to about $20,-
i 000 annually.

ONE DOLLAR A YEAR
GOOD ROADS RALLY.
Commissioners of North Georgia
Counties to Meet in Rome July 5
County Commissioners, J. T.
Jolly, W. 11. Benn, J. S. Doster,
F. C. Irvine and R. A. McWhorter
have been invited to attend
a Convention of the Coun
ty Commissioners of North Geor
gia, to be held at Rome on July
sth.
There will be a big Good Roads
Rally at the Floyd County court
house at 11 o'clock in the morn
ing of July sth. at which Hon.
Moses Wright will make an ad
dress, and at which the subject of
Good Roads will receive scien
tific discussion.
At 1 o'clock the County Com
missioners of North Georgia
will be intertained at a banquet
dinner at the Cherokee Hotel as
the guests of the Manufacturers
& Merchants Association of
Rome.
The recent discussion with re
lation to- a highway between
Chattanooga andi Atlanta has
aroused a great deal of interest
in North Georgia. It is a well
kinown fact that the only logical
route between Chattanooga and
Atlanta lies by wtty oi 'LalhepAte.
Summervilbe, Rome, Cartersville
and ’’Marietta. The several coun
ties through which this route pas
<-s are engaged in working their
roads, and all that is necessary te
make the through route complete
is for the County Commissioners
of the different counties to co
ordinate their different road sys
tems.
It is the idea of the Manufac
turers & Merchants Association
of Rome that this end can be bet
ter attained by getting the Coun
ty Commissioners together and
discuss the situation, than in any
other way. It is probable that
an Assoeiationiof the County Com
missioners will be formed.
A grand assemblage <1 automo
biles from al] of North Georgia
will attend the rally. There will
be automobile races, boat races,
and many other attractions as
one of the features of the enter
tainment offered the visitors.
