Clark spent Saturday and Sunday with friends in Dirttown. Mrs. Ed Moore of Tunnel Hill is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Grambling, on Washington st. Mr. and Mrs. Will Roberts of Ross ville are spending the week with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Housch. Mrs. M. G. Merritt and Mrs. J. J. Flanders of Trion were guests of Mrs R D. Jones Thursday. Miss Mary Adamson, who has been visiting Miss Beulah Shropshire, will return to her home in Rome today. Mr. A. J. Lawrence, one of Menlo’s progressive citizens, was in town yes terday. Miss Bartenfield and Miss Jimmie ' Grambling have returned from an ex tended visit to friends and relatives in Dalton and Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Taylor and ; sons, Alfred and Robert, spent Tues day in Chattanooga. Miss Annie Powell, who has been visiting lelatives here, returned to her home in Villa Rica Wednesday. t Mrs. Robert Jones left Wednesday : for Lafayette, where she will remain for sometime with her daughter, Mrs. Farlow Wardlaw. Friends and relatives here of Mrs. I Abicrumby were grieved to hear of I her death which occurred at her i home in Douglasville, Saturday, after i a long and painful illness. Mrs. Abicrumby spent last summer I here with her daughter, Mrs. Alice: 1 Eider, and made many friends who t will hear of her death with sadness. Mrs. D. T.
