been visiting relatives in Chattooga

her father’s family here, will leave
for Chicago sometime next week.
Mrs. Vastiti Lowe will spend the
Yuletide season with relatives and
friends in Rome and Atlanta.
Mr. Walter Clopton of Huntsville,
Ala., is at the Hawkins house and
will spend the holidays with friends
here.
Miss Allie Bryant Rhineheart will
come down from Chattanooga Satur
day and spend a few days withe rela
tives.
Messrs L. H. Lamb, E. N. Martin,
Will Hinton and children and Mas
ter Hinton Bellah were among those
from here who spent Tuesday in
Chattanooga.
Mrs. Fannie McWhorter entertain
ed Wednesday in honor of Mrs. Bob
Gibbons of Lindale, Mr. and Mrs.
Lee McWhorter and their child
ren were among the guests.
Miss Eva Fox leaves tomorrow for
Griffin, and will visit Atlanta, West
Point, Macon and Bradley before re
turning to Summerville.
Mr. Claude Turner is visiting his
parents in Jasper, Tenn., and is ex
pected to return the later part of the
week.
Mr. Albert Howell, who has been
here visiting bis daughter, Mrs.
Heath will return to his home in At
lanta today. Mr. Howell is the su
perndendent of the water works in
that place.
Mrs. A. S. Hinton gave a delight
ful farewell candy-pulling Monday
evening in compliment to Miss Fox
and Col. J. T. Jolly. The guests
included Misses Eva Fox, Kate Bol
ling, Trezevant Lee, Jimmie Gramb
ling and Messrs E. W. Sturdivant,
J. C. Edge, E. C. Lee, J. T. Jolly and
Mr. and Mrs. Heath.
