I want the members of the County
Memorial committee to make an ef
fort to secure subscriptions in their
communities the coming week and
meet at the Memorial day exercises
Friday, April 25.

Tacky Party
Members of the senior B.Y.P.U.
enjoyed a tacky party at the Y. M.
C. A. Friday night A first and
second prize was offered for the
two “best dressed” couples. Russell
Wheeler (dressed as girl) and Robt.
Glenn won first prize, a box of de
licious home-made candies. Miss
Jimmie Cordle and Henry Moore
won second prize, also a box of
candy.
Ice cream cones were served
throughout the evening.
About fifty guests were present.
Woman’s Club
Much interest is being shown in
the Woman’s club of Summerville
and new members being added. It
is hoped that every woman inter
ested in the progress of Summer
ville become a member. The dues
are sl.oo' per fiscal year, being
due Jan, 1. Mrs. Massie, the treas
urer, will be glad to receive your
membership. Regular meetings are
help the first Friday in each month.
Attention Veterans
The United Confederate veterans
will hold their annual meeting at 1
o’clock Friday, April 25. We want
every veteran in the county present.
We will elect officers, also name
delegates to the re-union. Bring or
send your dues so we can send in
complete roll as we are late and
roster must be forwarded the fol
lowing day.
