The school officials agreed to have school exhibits with
out requesting any prizes for them. Each school will ex
*♦* hibit maps, written work, note books and other school
>*♦ work, but will not consider prizes. These exhibits will be
X made only for the purpose of showing the public what
X the schools are doing, and they will not be competitive in

X elementary and high school, will exhibit together. Any
*♦* kind of exhibit board or table may be used provided the
exhibit space is not more than approximately 32 feet.

PIG CLUB
Members of the Boy's Pig Club who Have kept their rec
ords for four months and have their pigs on exhibit at the
fair are eligible to compete for prizes. .
First prize, Civitan Trophy cup; Second prize,- Trip to
Camp Wilkins, 1927; Third prize. $5.00 cash; Fourth
prize, $2.50 cash; Fifth prize, $2.50 cash.-1 igs that have
won prizes at Southeastern fair will only compete for
first prize.
CALF CLUB
Members of the Boy’s Calf club, who have
records for 4 months and have their calves on exhibit at
the fair will be eligible to'compete for prizes.
First prize, Civitan Trophy cup; Sec ond prize, sup to
Camp Wilkins. 1927; Third prize, $5.00 cash; Fourth
prize, $2.50 cash; Fifth prize, $2.50 cash. , .
CORN CLUB , • 4
Exhibit of ten ears of corn is required and record must
be submitted for inspection, to compete for prizes.
First prize, Civitan Trophy cup; Second prize, Trip to
Camp Wilkins, 1927;. Third prize, $5.00 cash; Fourt -i .
prize. $2.50 cash: Fifth prize, $2-50 cash. Prizes will be
awarded on basis of yield, profit, record and exhibit and
will not be finally decided till corn has been gathered.
COTTON CLUB
Exhibit is required of one stalk of cotton Proper'- v P

BOY'S SOIL BUILDING CLI BS
Three prizes of $12.00. SB.OO and $5.00 has been pro
vided by Hon. Gordon Lee for the boys making the best
showing in soil building work and if practicable repor s
on these acres will be made at the fair.

CHATTOOGA COUNTY SCHOOL MEET
Athletic Events, Streets of Summerville
1. Each 50 cents won counts for one point. 2. No one eligible
to take part in any contest unless he or she is a bona fide pupil who
has been in school at least three weeks previous to the fair, regular in
attendance and who is doing passing work in at least three subjects.
School winning most points will receive grand prize of SIO.OO. 4.
The money that each pupils or group of pupils win will go to the
school of which the pupil is a pupil. No individual will receive the
prize money.

Note: High school selections limited to 8 minutes. Grammar school
selections limited to 5 minutes. One contestant from each
school in each event.
SPELLING CONTEST
The spelling contest will be held at the court house, Friday, Oct.
15, at 10 A. M. The contest is open to grammar schools only. Each
school will be allowed to enter four pupils. The contest will be oral,
in the old-time spelling bee way, and the public will be allowed to
observe the contest. The “Mastery of Words, Book II” is the official
books.
