Miss Loutrell Cavin has returned home
from Bob Jones college.
Miss Elsie Smith entertained thirty
four guests at her birthday party Thurs
day night, it being her 16th birthday.
Mrs. Clara Boman and Julia Mae. of
La Fayette, were here visiting Mrs. Julia
Dempsey Sunday.
Mrs. Hettie King, of Chickamauga, is
spending a few days with relatives here.
Mrs. Johnny Hegwood and children
are here spending a few days with Mrs.
Julia Dempsey.
Mr. and Mrs. Monty Millican and
family spent the week-end with Mrs.
Hall at Cedar Bluff.
Mrs. Ed Herndon has returned to her
home in South Cafblina after an extended
visit to Dr. and Mrs. S. B. Platt.
Mrs. J. T. Copeland and daughter,
Barbara Jeanerl. have * returned home
from the Trion hospital.

Monday for Monroe. Ga.. where Rev.
Parker will carry on a two weeks’ re
vival.
Mrs. Al Glasure and children, of Haz
ard. Ky., are here visting Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. J. E. Hollingsworth has returned 1
home to Gadsden after visiting Mr. and
Mrs. Lee Martin, and being at the bed I
side of her mother.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Adams and Miss
Laura Jo Taylor spent the week-end in

The Daily Vacation Bible school will
close June 8 after being in progress two
weeks.

Christ next Sunday, June 11. Everybody

the birth of a daughter at the Riegel hos
pital in Trion May 30. The baby has
bee n named Barbara. The mother and I
baby are now at the home of Mr. and |
Mrs. Harvey Copeland.
