GENERAL RULES
GENERAL RULES FOR CHATTOOGA COUNTY FAIR
(These rules are to l>e strictly adhered to.)
1 The Chattooga County Fair will open its gates to the public at 10
o’clock Thursday October 19. The gates will be open for the placement ot
exhibits on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
2 All community displays must be in place by 10 o'eh.ck Th.irsdny,
Oct. 19. Individual crop exhibits and other single entries may b<
in Thursday morning until 11 o clock.
3 All exhibits must be left in place until 2 o’clock p.m. Saturday.
Oct. 21.
4 Awards will be designated by ribbons, but premiums will be paid
according ‘ records in the fudges’ book. Often ribbons are misplaced or
changed by persons having no authority.
5. Judging will begin at 1 o’clock Thursday. Oct. 19.

7. Each exhibitor, be sure the head of you>’ £

9 Airstands, churches. P.-T. A.. Schools, etc., in and outside gates

Charges for admission to grounds will be as follows:

anv person exhibiting three worthy exhibits will receive free pass in and out
gates; passes will be good only for entering gates three times daily.

Live Stock and Poultry Departments

All live stock exhibitors must bring sufficient feed for their live stock
while at the fair. To be eligible for any prize, your stock must be on the
fair ground bv 12 o’clock Thursday. Oct. 19. and remain on fair ground un
til 4 o’clock p.m. Friday, Oct. 20. All live stock will be shown in ring
and will be judged 50 per cent show condition and 50 per cent breed type,
and must pass judge as good breeding stock to be eligible for prizes on cat
tle and hogs. (See Rule No. 8.)

Stunts must not be longer than 15 minutes. Each participant taking
part in the stunt must be a qualified student of the school represented.
There will be a five-minute period between stunts, curtain will be drawn
at the end of the period. The stunt lasting more than fifteen minutes will
be disqualified. Each participant limited to ten persons.

A Seven-Dollar scholarship to Athens will be awarded to each of the
two best all-round club girls in the county, who are 15 years of age or over.
This is based upon the club girls’ entrants of two or more classes of the
