Patients now in the hospital recover
ing from operations are: Frank Dillard,
of Summerville; Grady Bryson, Fred
Sessions, Miss Leo Henderson and Mrs,
Burl Walker.
Born to Mr, and Mrs. Charlie Little
john, a son, Oct. 18.
Mrs. Ed Sanders, Mrs. Woodrow
Long, Miss Mary Cooper and Miss Doris
Powell are in the hospital for medical
care.
The following have returned home
after receiving medical are: Mrs. P. 11.
Williams, Miss Margaret Tate, Miss Nel
lie Allmon, of Subligna; Mrs. R. N. Ellis
and Miss Louise Crawford.
Mrs. Joshua Tucker, Alton Atchley,
Lamar Spears, of Summer di lie, and
Mrs. Fannie ,Earp have returned home
after undergoing operations.
The following have returned home fol
lowing tonsil operations: Miss Mattie
Ruth Reid, Betty Lou Rogers, Robert J.
Combs, Peggy Faye Comlbs, Mrs Marvin
McClellan, Jr., and Master Charles Nun
nally.

Dempo Dalton.
Dempo Dalton, 50. tax receiver of I
Chattooga county, died Saturday niight |
at his home in Snmmervile after a long
illness. He had held the office of tax re
ceiver for more than ten years.
He Is survived by his wife, one daugh
ter. Valerie; two sons, Albert and Earl.
Funeral was held Monday at J :30
p. m. from Trion Baptist church by
the Revs. Shivers and Reese. Interment
in Trion cemetery. Paul Weems Funeral
home in charge.
Max A. Farrow.
Max A. Farrow. 28, of the U. S. army,
was drowned in Hawaii Aug. 26. He is I
survived by two brothers, Harry, of ,
Chattanooga, and Earl, of Rome.
Funeral at 1:30 Thursday. Oct. 26. at
Walnut Grove Presbyterian church by
Rev. J. G. Kirchhoff.
Paul Weems Funeral home in charge.
M. S. Crane
M. S. Crane passed away at his home
in Chattanooga last Thursday, Oct 19,
after a lingering illness.
He is survived by his wife, three sons.
Frank, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Roy,
of Dayton, Tenn.; Hardy, of Chattanoo
ga : three daughters. Mrs B. B. Greene,
of Tavares, Fla.; Mrs. I. H. Perry, of
Summerville; Mrs. J. G. Akin, of Chat
tanooga, and several grandchildren.
The funeral was held in Chattanooga
Saturday morning at 11 o’clock. Inter-|
ment in Pleasant Grove cemetery neari
Gore.
