FORD ANNOUNCES FREE FARM
COURSES FOR FARM YOUTHS
New opportunities for young men
of the farm have been revealed with
the announcement by Henry Ford that
at least 20,000 scholarships for the
study o f farm management and en
gineering are to be forwarded by the
national farm youth foundation, of
which Henry Ford is co-sponsor with
Edsel Ford, president of the Ford
Motor company and the Ferguson-
Sherkan Manufacturing corporation,
national distributors for the new Ford
tractors and implements.
The free scholarships, as announced
by Mr. Ford, are available to young
men between the ages of 18 and 25
who are actually engaged in farm
work and the courses will consist of
a home study course, together with
practical training and experience un
der local farm conditions.

GORE W.H.D. CLUB MEETS
Gore Woman’s Home Demonstra
tion club met Friday, the 24th at 10
o’clock in the Home Economics build
ing at the school. A dozen ladies
were present, each with tools and ma
terials for the making of footstools.
Under the supervision of Miss Henry,
ten attractive stools wlere finished
and several cut and almost finished.
It was a very enjoyable day. At noon
a delicious picnic lunch was enjoyed.
Iced tea and lemonade accompanied
