Beginning at a post in the South
east corner of the D. P. Henley’s

made by D. P. Henley, deceased, to
the said C. W. Maxey, the said C.
W. Maxey alleging that he has met
his obligations in said Bond for
Title.
This is to notify all the hears-at
law of the said D. P. Henley, de
ceased, to be and appear at the
April term, 1941, of the Court of I
Ordinary of Chattooga County,
Georgia, and show cause, if any
they have, why said Kathryn Hen
ley Wyatt should not be required,
to make said deed as prayed.

a party at the school gym Friday
night. Everyone present reported
a nice time. Miss Gertrude Coleman

F. M. Cochran entertained with
a surprise birthday dinner honor
ing his wife, Mrs. F. M. Cochran,
Thursday evening. The dinner was
! served at the Rose case. About
fifteen relatives and friends were
present.
Henderson-Kimbell
The marriage of Miss Dorothy
Kimbell and Joe David Henderson
came as a great surprise to their
many friends here. Mrs. Henderson
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
N. Kimbell. She is a sister of Miss
Ruth Kimbell, of Chattanooga; Mrs.
Harold Bishop and Mrs. Earl Jones,
of Lyerly, and Robert Kimbell, of
Warrington, Fla. Mrs. Henderson
received her education at the Lyer
ly High school, graduating in the
’36 class.
Mr. Henderson is the only son of
Mrs. Mary Henderson, of Trion. He
is a brother of Mrs. Guy Peppers
and Mrs. Hamp Brewer, of Lyerly.
He is now stationed with the U. S.
navy.
Their many friends here wish
them a long and happy life.

Charles, were in Chattanooga Fri
day.

Chapman spent Wednesday in
Rome.
Miss Nell Lee was visiting her

M’LENDON VOLUNTEERS
FOR SERVICE IN ARMY
Thurman David McLendon has
volunteered for service in the army
and has been ordered to report to
the local board at Summerville, Ga.,
at 8:30 a.m. on March 24, 1941,
whereupon he will be sent to an in
duction station of the United
States army at Fort Benning.
Andrew Lee Black (volunteer)
has been selected as a replacement
for McLendon.
