To the Ladies of Trion
Do you realize how badly you
are needed at the Red Cross
Center? Well I didn’t either
until I went down Friday. Liv
ing up here in the country I just
took it for granted that you
people were carrying the work
there over the top like you do
everything else that Trion un
dertakes, but it seems they have
more work piled up there than
just a few can do alone. They
need all of you. When I went in
Friday Mrs. Harrell was busy as
a bee getting the Facts ready to
mail to your boys and mine. Mrs.
Agnew and four other ladies
(only four, mind you) were busy
making surgical dressings. Some
body has to make these dress
ings so our boys can have the
proper attention should they get
wounded and it is your duty and
mine to help, as I can’t get down
there to work. Mrs. Cole is
letting me have sewing to do at
home and I’m sure she will give
you work to do at home, too, if
for some reason you can’t work
at the Center. They need us, so
let’s get busy.
