4-H NEWS
National 4-H Club Week will be
held March 2 to 10, 1946, and Chat
tooga County 4-H Club members
will join the nation in observance.
The main theme, “The Local 4-H
Club in a Changing World,” will
play an important part in - reinforc
ing the use of the ten 4-H Club
guideposts in local program build
ing. Our 4-H goal of 100 new club
members during this week means
each member will assume his full
share of the responsibility in reach
ing more young people with the
4-H Club program.
The general purposes of the Na
tional 4-H Club Week are:
1. To make it possible for all 4-H
Club members to become familiar
with the 1946 4-H Challenge and
the ten new guideposts.
2. To help 4-H members to ana
lyze their own situation and prob
lems as a follow-up to the use of
these guideposts.
3. To provide an opportunity to
check up on their own efforts in
carrying out the programs and to
reaffirm intentions carrying their
1946 goals to completion.
4. To acquaint parents in every
community with what 4-H Club
work is doing.
