“WELCOME HOME’’ PARTY OF
THE JUNIOR WOMAN’S CLUB
The Junior Woman’s Club of
Summerville entertained the hus
bands and friends of the members
on Friday evening, Feb. 22 at the
Tavern in Trion. There were 61
guests present, and the Tavern
never looked more beautiful. The
tables were lighted with blue can
dles, and red and white gladioli
carried out the patriotic motif. The
occasion was the annual party, but
this time it was to welcome home
those men who served in the Army
and Navy, and those who had been
in war work away from home.
The program for the evening was
unusually entertaining and delight
ful. Miss Louise Bennett, Dean of
Women of Shorter College, gave a
humorous talk on “Marriage” in
her charming and unique manner.
Mr. Blanford Eubanks, whose beau
tiful voice is well known, sang a
group of songs :“O, What a Beau
tiful Morning,” “Passing By” and
“Mighty Lak a Rose.” Miss Eunice
Farmer came from Virginia Inter
mont College to play for us. She
is the rising star of their musical
department and is preparing for the
concert stage, and is also a com
poser of renown. She played ex
quisitely the following numbers:
“Etude,” “Oriental Dance,” “Med
ley” from Oklahoma, “Nocturne”
and as a crowning touch, her own
composition, a song, “Why Am I
Blue.” Mrs. O. L. Cleckler was the
accompanist and added much to
the program.

A LOCAL LADY SPIT
UP ACID LIQUIDS FOR
HOURS AFTER EATING
For hours after every meal, a
local lady used to spit up a strong,
acidulous liquid mixed with pieces
of half-digested food. She says it
was awful. At times she would
nearly strangle. She had stomach
bloat, daily headaches and con
stant irregular bowel action. Today
this lady eats her meals and en
joys them. And she says the
change is due to taking INNER
AID. Her food agrees with her.
No gas, bloat or spitting up after
eating. She is also free of head
aches now, and bowels are reg
ular, thanks to this Remarkable
New Compound.
INNER-AID contains 12 Great
Herbs; they cleanse bowels, clear
gas from stomach, act on slug
gish liver and kidneys. Miserable
people soon feel different all over.
So don’t go on suffering! Get IN
NER-AID.

The theme for this year’s Day of
Prayer is “The Things That Make
For Our Peace.” If ever there was
a time when prayer was needed, it
is now. Our country is torn with
strife and suffering and unrest are
abrbad throughout the earth. Let
us lift up holy hands in prayer to
Almighty God for the healing of
the nations. Come to this service
and let us pray together.
