Looking Ahead
The students of Summerville High
School and the citizens of Summer
ville should work together for the
improvement of our school.
Being a county school, Summer
ville High accommodates many pu
pils who are not residents of the
city! therefore, the school should
have assistance from the entire
area which it serves.
The population of the county is
rapidly increasing, and new enter
prises are being established. We
are glad to see the people building
up our county and we want all the
pupils to make the best of the few
years they spend in school so that
they can keep building up our
county.
This year, the faculty is making
every effort to improve the curri
culum. We hope that within a
short time graduates from Summer
ville High School can compete in
college with any and all students
from any school in the state. We
are aware of the fact that, first,
the overcrowded condition must be
eliminated: we must have a sci
ence lab, an auditorium and a rec
reational program. All of these im
provements are necessary for a
good school program. Citizens of
the Summerville High School area,
let’s get busy and provide the ne
cessities for a good school. The
school needs you and your support.

WE WONDER
Why-
All the boys were hanging around

it be four strange girls?
Martha is so happy lately? Could
it be a certain senior?
Four juniors came to the library

How—

Where—
Every one will be going since the
basket ball season is over.
The boys got their little red caps?
Florence and Mary got all their
bracelets?
Miss Majors got that Marine?
Our May festival will be?
Have you noticed —
The grim looks of the girls’ bas
ket ball team?
Could it be not getting to play in
the school tournament?
Miss Kelley’s nice smile? Could it
be getting her Junior English class
back? .
What if—
Jack was credit instead of cash?
Don was half-ton instead of Ful
