Seventeen years old, Jim is ac
tive in all sports and is the presi
dent of the Senior Class of Sum
merville High School.

Lyerly senior, is vice president
of his class. The son of Mr. and
Mrs. J. P. Johnston, he is plan
ning a course in agriculture when
he goes to college.

Passed Away Saturday
George Washington Shaver, 69,
died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Jim Smith, of Summerville R.
F. D. 1, Saturday night at 9:05. Fu
neral services were conducted from
the graveside at Ami Cemetery
Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock, with
the Rev. Floyd Figgins officiating.
