A nine dollar ($9) scholarship will be awarded to each of the best
all-round Club Boys in the county who are 14 years of age or over and
have had at least three years of club work, including the current year.
This choice is based upon the individual’s club achievements, leader
ship and records for the past year. This scholarship must be used to
attend the State 4-H Leadership Conference. Ten dollars expenses and
transportation to the Home Demonstration Agent and the county 4-H
Adviser to attend the state conference. Ten dollars transportation and
expenses to be paid to all 4-H county winners who participate in dis
trict contests.
All exhibits must be made by bona fide members of the regular
organized clubs and shown in this class only.

GENERAL RULES
FOR CHATTOOGA COUNTY FAIR
(These Rules Are to Be Strictly Adhered To)
1. The Chattooga County Fair will open its gates to the public at
4 o’clock Wednesday, October 16.
2. All exhibits must be in place by 4 o’clock Wednesday, EST.
3. All exhibits must be left in place until 9 o’clock a. m. Saturday,
October 19. Fair officials will not be responsible for exhibits after 12
o’clock Saturday.
4. Awards will be designated by ribbons, but premiums will be
paid according to records in the judges’ books. Often ribbons are mis
placed or changed by persons having no authority.
5. Judging will begin at 10 o’clock Thursday, October 17, EST.
6. Certain persons will be stationed in the exhibit areas to safe
guard exhibits, and every other reasonable precaution will be taken to
protect the exhibits, but it must be understood that the exhibits are
entered in competition for prizes and the owners assume all responsibil
ity for any accident, loss or damage that may occur. Neither the Fair
Association, its officers agents will be responsible for any such acci
dent, loss or damage.
7. Each exhibitor, be sure the head of your department gets your
correct name and address and rural route number. If an exhibitor is
under 21 years of age, be sure to give YOUR PARENTS’ INITIALS so
premiums will be mailed to the proper person.
8. All livestock exhibits will be shown in ring and will be judged
on quality of livestock and showing condition. All worthy animals will
be judged in some class.
9. All stands, churches, P.-T. A., schools, etc., in and outside gates
will be charged $lO and receive three free passes.
10. Exclusive bread and cake rights have been sold to Colonial
Baking Co. All stands must trade exclusively with this company.

1. All premiums will be paid in cash.
12. No article winning a prize in the past three years is eligible
for a prize or a pass. This does not apply to livestock.
ADMISSION CHARGES
Charges for admission to grounds will be as follows:

Business passes will be issued to retail merchants who make de
liveries.
No complimentary passes will be issued.
FREE PASSES: (1) All livestock exhibitors will receive free passes.
(2) For all other exhibits, any person exhibiting three worthy exhibits
will receive free pass in and out gates; passes will be good only for
entering gates three times daily.
LIVESTOCK DEPARTMENT
FRANK AGNEW, Chairman
All livestock exhibitors must bring sufficient feed for their live
stock while at the fair. To be eligible for any prize, your stock must
be on the fair grounds by 4 o’clock, EST, Wednesday, Oct. 16, and re
main on fair grounds until Saturday morning, Oct. 19. Livestock will be
judged Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock. See Rule 8.
