a broken leg. He is improving

bride of William H. Smith Jr.,

performed m the presence of a
few relatives and close friends
at high noon on Nov. 28 at the
First Baptist Church in Ross
ville, the Rev. E. L. Williams,
pastor oi the Woodland Park
Baptist Church, of Chattanoo

Miss Jean Gilreath, the bride’s
only attendant, wore an equa
dress with brown accessories.
Her corsage was of white car
nations.

man.
The bride wore a winter white
wool dress with cherry coke and

was a bronze orchid. Her only
ornament was a diamond brace

Mrs. Smith received her edu
cation in the schools of Sum
merville. graduating in the class
of 1942, of which she was vale-j
dictorian. She, at present, is em
ployed in the main office of the (
Riegel Textile Corporation, Trion
Division. Her only brother is j
Charles W. Greene, of Summer
ville.
A graduate of Lyerly High j
School, the groom attended Ber
ry College, Mount Berry, Ga.. j
prior to his induction into the
armed forces. Only recently, he
received his discharge from the
U. S. Army after having served
three years, 19 months of which
were spent in the ETO with the
78th Infantry Division. His sis
ters are Mrs. W. A. Mcßroom and
Miss Margaret Smith, of Chat
tanooga, and Miss Vera Smith,
of Lyerly. Lewis H. Smith, of Ly
erly, is his only brother. He is
associated in business with his
father at Lyerly.
After a wedding trip to Flori
da, the couple will reside, at the ;
present, with the bride’s mother|
in Summerville.
