GEORGIA BAPTIST
CHILDREN’S HOME
At their meeting at the Geor
gia Baptist Children’s Home this
week, the advisory committee of
the board of trustees, according
to J. L. Fortney, manager of the
home, voted authorizing the ad-i
mission to the home of 32 new |
children.
Acceptance of a number of
other children was declined for
the time being because of the
limited number of vacancies in
both the home at Hapeville and
the Odum branch at Baxley.
Some 01 those declined will be
accepted at latest dates.
According to Mr. Fortney, ap
plications for admissions of chil
dren are increasing in number
every week. The home has mon
ey m hand with which to build
eight new homes for children
when building conditions will
permit. In the meantime, it is
going to be most difficult for the
Baptists of the state o make pro
vision even for he most needy
cases for whom applications will
be made.
How Wars Start
A youngster asked his father,
I “Suppose America quarreled
with England, and—”
“But,” interrupted the moth
er, “America must not quarrel
with England.”
“I know,” he answered, “but I
am taking a hypothetical in
stance.”
“You are misleading the
child,” said mother.
“No, I am not,” he answered.
“Yes, you are.”
“I tell you I am not! It’s out
rageous—”
“All right, dad,” said the boy.
“Don’t get excited. I think I
know how wars begin.”

BAD COLDS
Retained undigested food becomes
putrefactive, causes toxins, which
overload the liver and other vital or
gans of the body, lessening your re
sistance to colds and other winter ills
and interfering with their treatment.
Why take this chance when you can
take Calotabs? Calotabs thoroughly
yet pleasantly act on every foot of
your intestines, sweeping out toxin
laden putrefactive foods and virus
laden mucus, enabling you to more
effectively avoid or fight a cold. Noth
ing acts like good old Calotabs. Use as
directed. 10c and 25c at all druggists.
