MISS STEPHENS ENGAGED
TO MORRIS N. DALTON
! Mr. T. Y. Stephens of Carroll
ton, Ga., announces the engage
ment of his daughter, Billie Lee
Stephens, to Morris N. Dalton,
the marriage to take place at an
i early date.
The'bride-elect is the sister of
Jack Stephens, of Summerville;
Howard Stephens of Cedartown;
Miss Helen Stephens and Mrs.
J. D. Moon of Carrollton. Her
mother was the late Miss Minnie
Lee Estes, daughter of the late
Judge and Mrs. J. E. Estes of
Bremen, Ga. Her paternal grand
parents are the late Mr. and Mrs.
J. H. Stephens of Carrollton.
After graduating from Bremen
High School, Miss Stephens at
tended West Georgia College and
received her commercial science
degree from Bessie Tift College.
She is now affiliated with the
Georgia State Employment Serv
ice in Carrollton.
The bridegroom-elect Is the
son of the late E. H. Dalton of
Summerville. His mother is the
former Miss Trezevant Norton,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will
Norton of Summerville.
Mr. Dalton was graduated from
Summerville High School and
served as a pilot in the army air
corps. He was honorably dis
charged with the rank of cap
tain and at the present time is
manager of the Shannon Airport
in Shannon, Ga.

Summerville regulars beat the |
rookies Sunday afternoon by the j
tune of 18 to 3, Nelson, Jackson I
and Stewart pitching for the
rookies, while Byars, Nix and J.
Cash worked for the regulars.
The regulars scored 14 runs and I
got 10 hits on Nelson in three
innings. Jackson and Stewart!
fared somewhat better after go-1
ing to the mound. Big Bud Byars '
worked three innings for the
Regs, allowing two hits and no i
runs. Cash and Nix looked good,l
also.
