PETITION TO SUPERIOR
COURT FOR BUSINESS

TO THE SUPERIOR COURT OF
SAID STATE AND COUNTY:
The petition of H. W. Hamp
ton, James S. Tankersley, Jr.,
and O. L. Foster states to the
court the following petition:
(1) That they desire for them
selves, their associates and suc
cessors to be made a body poli
tic under the name and style of
Tooga Theatre, Incorporated for
the period of twenty years'.
(2) The principle office of the
company shall be in the city of
Summerville and county afore
said, but petitioners desire the
right to establish branches with
offices in this State or elsewhere,
i whenever the holders of majori-
I ty of the stock may so determine.
I (3> The object of said corpora
tion is pecunariary gain to itself
and its shareholders.
(4> The principle place of busi
ness will be in the City of Sum
merville, Georgia, and in the
County of Chattooga.
(5) The business to be carried
on by said corporation is a gen
eral motion picture business.
(6) The capital stock of the
corporation shall be $20,000.00
with the priviledge of increasing,
same to the sum of $75,000.00 by
a majority vote of stockholders.
Said stock to be divided into
1,000 (one thousand) shares no
par value. Ten per cent of cap
ital stocks to be employed by
them has actually been paid in.
Petitioners desire the right to
the subscription to said capital
stock paid in money or property
to be taken in at fair valuation.
(7) Petitioners desire the right
to sue and be sued, to plead and
to be impleaded and to use a
common seal to make all the nec
essary laws for the successful
carrying on of said business, in
cluding the right to buy, hold,
and sell real estate and personal
property, suitable to the proper
ty of the corporation and to se
cure the same by mortgage, se
curity deed, or other form of lien.
(8) They desire for said in
| corporation the power and au
thority to apply for and accept
I amendments to its charter of ei
jther form or substance by vote
I of majority of its stock outstand
ing at the time. They also ask
authority for said corporation
to wind up its affairs, liquidate
and discontinue its business at
any time if they may determine
to do so by a vote of two-thirds
of its stock outstanding at the'
time.
(9) They desire for said in
corporation the right of renewal
when and as provided by the
laws of Georgia, and that it may
, have all such other rights, pow
ers, priviledges. and immuni ies
as are incident to like incorpora
tion or permissible under the
laws of Georgia. Wherefore, pe
titioners pray to be incorporated
under the name and style afore
said with the powers, priviledges,
and immunities herein set forth
and as are now, or may hereaft
er be, allowed a corporation sim
ilar character under the laws of
Georgia.

Farm Bureau Notes
The freezer locker certificates
have arrived and will go on sale
at once. They will be placed on
sale at convenient places in the
county. At the Farmers and
Merchants Bank. Commercial
Bank, and at Lyerly, Menlo, Hol
land, Gore, Subligna and Teloga.
We are having posters printed
which will be placed in differ
ent parts of the county for ad
vertising the freezer locker, so
be on the lookout for these.
The fence for the fairground
has been ordered and we are ex
pecting it any day. Mr. Harvey
from Athens, also landscaped our
ground for us.
Gore community had their
regular monthly meeting last
Friday night. They had a good
attendance. Howard Baker, pres
ident. could not attend the meet
ing and J. B. Butler presided in
his place.
Dairy farming and good farm
practices were discussed at the
meeting. A motion picture was
shown. With a good attendance
and co-operation of the farm
ers in Gore community, this
chapter can and will do a good
job of promoting and stimulat
ing better farming practices in
the community.
i The 4-H and FFA boys and
girls in the community are look
ing forward to this community
chapter sponsoring the different
club projects in the community.

Bucket Brigade Saves Town
ELIZABETH, Colo.—A fire set
by an acetylene welding torch
caused an explosion which de
stroyed a garage, four cars and a
school bus. Fire trucks from
Denver, 40 miles away, arrived
to find a bucket brigade dashing
water on three other buildings
and they credited me efforts of
the volunteer firemen with hold
ing the fire in check.
