Legionnaires Continue to Set Pace in North
Georgia League With Double Wins Over
Calhoun Saturday and Sunday, 9-8,16-3
In a very close game at Cal
houn Saturday, Summerville
nosed out Calhoun, 9-8, and Sun
day went wild to defeat the same
team, 16-3.
In Saturday’s game three
pitchers were used with Byars
starting and Nelson relieving
him in the third and Groce re
lieving Nelson in the seventh.
Groce was credited with the win.

First Inning
J. L. Alexander hit to left,
Brock walked, Broome bunted,
filling the bases; Baker singled,
scoring Alexander and Brock;
Silvers struck out, Cash ground
ed to the shortstop, who fielded
the ball, but did not throw it,

to short and Broome was out at
the plate.
